Joyetech: A Classy Company
Joyetech (or Joye for short) is one of my favorite e-cig companies; if you haven’t heard of them, they are the company that invented and popularized the 510 and 510-t electronic cigarette models. Their own line of the 510 model is the awesome eGo line e-cigarettes with both the eGo and the tank cartridge eGo-T. Joye has been a top innovator and received praise from the harshest of critics; those hardcore members of the online e-cig community.
The 510 and eGo products make up a huge part of the e-cig market, many of the e-cigs that you’re going to find on review sites and advertisements are going to be knockoff 510 models with a brand name and logo slapped on. In this e-cig world, full of knock-offs and false claims by advertisers and reviewers, Joye is one of the only companies that I can consistently trust for personal use, and I do.

Across the board, Joye e-cigs are known for a few different things that make them a powerhouse brand. They have varying sizes, but all Joye e-cigs (eGo, eGo-T, eGo-C) have a powerful battery that blows away the similar competition. Typically the eGo models can be found with their famous 650 mAH, 800 puff battery life; Joye is the marathon runner of vaporizers. But after the marathon, Joye straps on the gloves and fights through 15 rounds of boxing; their e-cigs hit hard with huge plumes of vapor. The eGo goes beyond simple battery ability with the ability to increase vapor fullness through offering a manual switch option and the customizable, mod-friendly 510 model. And who could forget the tank cartridge system of the 510-t that has added a whole new e-liquid loading option to the field? After a lot of hype in the e-cig community about it’s release, Joye recently came out with a new product that really takes atomizer and battery technology to the next level. The previous Joye eGo-T model has been very popular among experienced e-smokers; the original tank cartridges allow users to easily refill their cartridges without having to buy a syringe from the drug store and the battery is perfectly attuned to last you all day with it’s 650mAH charge and a locking On/Off switch. But nothing is perfect. The general consensus among online connoisseurs is that the atomizer (atty) technology leaves something to be desired. According to e-cig message board users online, the attys are occasionally leaky, unfriendly to new users and difficult to replace. Joye took this issue to the labs and not only solved it, but created a product that revolutionizes the industry. Meet the Joye Ego-C.
Joye eGo-C Review – An In Depth Look At JoyeTech’s New EGO
I got my hands on the Joye Ego-C right away; I’d been excited about the release since rumors started swirling online and had the release date on my Google Calendar. Before my first puff, as I removed the atomizer from the box, the Ego-C confirmed that all of these rumors were true. The eGo-c uses the spectacular new technology that Joye has straightforwardly marketed as the…drumroll please…changeable a system! The changeable system allows e-cig users to change their atomizer whenever they need to replace it, which not only gets rid of some old kinds and makes it easier for beginners to get adjusted, but the changeable improvement really helps those expert smokers save a lot of time and get the purest, cleanest vapor. I am puffing on my Joye eGo-C as I sit here typing this, I really enjoy this product and can wholeheartedly recommend it for beginners and mod-crazy e-smokers alike. Convenient
The changeable system eGo-C is, in the words of Joyetech’s website: “The third generation and last improvement of the eGo system.” You’re probably wondering why a changeable atomizer system is worthy of an entirely new eGo e-cig and the change from -t to -c. The answer is convenience. The changeability doesn’t necessarily improve the battery life or add more modification options of its predecessor, but it does just make things a whole lot goddamn easier. Cleaning is simplified to a great extent by the new system, as is replacing your atomizer when it dies or when you want to, not to mention that the system just stays cleaner through use in the first place.
Clean
The old 510-t devices were known for leaks and build-up that caused wasted e-liquid and a burnt taste when it got bad. But the eGo-C solves all that by letting you have more control over the situation. Cleaning the old models was a bit strenuous, but when you can just pull apart the atomizer casing and get right in to clean those nooks and crannies. A common method is just to pry the “spike” off the atomizer head and wash the build-up from the cone casing, search online for a more detailed method report on cleaning the eGo-C. With proper cleaning made easier, build-up is better prevented and your vapor is full and tasty at all times!
Conoisseur-Friendly
Finally there was a nice unexpected benefit from the changeable option; I could keep my flavors separate. For instance, I would have one atomizer for fruity flavors, one for dark flavors (coffee, tobacco) and one for light flavors (vanilla, menthol). This idea is probably for the more flavor-conscious e-smokers; it means you need to buy more atomizers, though changing them is a cinch and it tastes much better.
Cuts Out Leaking
If you are having a problem with leaks in a particular atomizer, you can just quickly open up the atomizer casing and look inside to make a check and then act accordingly. This feature really helps improve the leak issue that has plagued tank cartridge e-cigs since they’re creation. Oh and Joye also really helped me out by including these “soft caps” that fit over the tank head and prevent leaks. With the past models this was discovered to really be the best option for prevention of the leaks, but users had to order them on their own.
Cheap
You can get an official Joye e-Cig Starter Kit for no more than $90 out there on the web from one Joye’s official distributors (beware of knock-off companies). This includes 2 atomizers heads and bases, 5 cases, 5 tank cartridges and 2 of those epic batteries; not a bad deal at all. But more importantly, you will save money in the long term by paying less for your cartridges with the eGo tank cartridge technology; you only have to buy e-liquid! And similarly, you no longer have to replace an entire atomizer but just the small, cheap atomizer head. By reducing the amount of money spent on replaceables, the eGo-C will definitely save you case as the months and years go by.
Constant Battery Power (With New Tweak!)
Not only did the Joye eGo-C that I was testing have Joye’s famous, incredibly long-lasting battery (and I mean incredible battery life) but they added a few little tweaks that only make it better. The battery will literally last you all day and a little bit of the next if you smoke like me (which is quite a bit); this is the shining feature of the eGo line. To add longevity to your battery life on top of the 650 mAH, Joye included an On/Off switch on the eGo-C so that there is absolutely no life wasted in your pocket or bag. I’m actually a big fan of this feature because I hate the idea that I could be letting my battery go to waste as I jockey around at work or school; this feature puts my mind at ease.
One Con For the Joye eGo-C
Could Not Use VG E-Liquid
I liked this product, but I did have an issue when I tried to use some vegetable glycerin-based e-liquid instead of propylene glycol. The tank cartridge system seemed to have a difficult time feeding thicker e-liquids in general to the atomizer to be vaporized and this was slightly frustrating when I was looking for powerful, high-strength smoke.
Full Joye Ego-C Review Breakdown
Technology, Quality, Design: 9/10
The changeable system is a nice new innovation by Joyetech, I definitely felt a huge difference between this and other tank cartridge devices that aren’t changeable. I would have to say that if tank cartridges are your thing, go with the eGo all the way; it’s ahead of the game. No other huge developments, but the existing eGo technology and Joye battery make this device score high in this category..
Battery 10/10
Can I say enough about this battery and the life? A full day of use and sometimes more are more than I’ve ever gotten out of an e-cig on a regular basis. Ten out of ten any day of the week.
Throat Hit/Vapor Fullness: 8/10
It hit my throat probably a little bit better than any tank cartridge e-cig I’ve had; the powerful battery and what Joye called “dual air circulation tank structure” make it the best vapor from a tank cartridge. It receives an 8 because the 510-x models in general are not the best vapor-producers out on the market, but they’ll do you just fine.
Joye EGO-C Review Summary
Well I guess I’ll sum it up with telling everyone out there that if they are a beginner or experienced e-smoker looking to try tank cartridge technology at it’s finest, the Joye eGo-C deserves your full attention.
Also, anybody that likes their eGo-T but is frustrated by the build-up and leaks should definitely make the switch; you already have the charger and tanks! I am personally not a primarily tank-cartridge e-cig smoker but regardless I really enjoyed my trial of the eGo-C and look forward to what Joye comes up with next. Happy e-smoking.

The electronic cigarette has proven to be a god send to people who love to smoke. And with the Mega EGO Batteries even heavy duty users, myself included, can go a full day or more without recharging. That’s a lot of usage, it really is a game changer.
